Madagascar sits in the south part of the Indian Ocean and off of the coast of South Africa and is said to be the forth largest island in the world.

Area: 587,041 sq km (226,658 sq mi). Population: 9,375,000 Capital: Antananarivo
Language: Malasian and French (both official).
