Fairview Dome 5.9
Toulumne Meadows,
Summer 2000
In the summer of 2000 Greg Tirdel and Brian Biega drove down
to Toulumne for the day from Lake Tahoe for some climbing. The
weather was great and they arrived at the parking lot of Fairview
Dome at around 8:00 am. The two set out to climb the Regular Route
of Fairview Dome located on the north west face of the rock. It
must have been September because the rock was somewhat warm in
the morning.

It is hard to believe that this is the first and
hardest pitch of the climb. This pitch warms you up with some
nice smearing and finger-locks to keep the fingers in shape.
Right: Greg on the third pitch, enjoying the awesome
finger locks and amazing knobs.
